A Blenheim brewery has picked up seven medals to beat out more than one hundred other breweries from around the world at the Asia Beer Awards.

Moa beer chalked up the biggest medal haul when it took home one gold, two silver and four bronze.

Gold was awarded for its Moa Imperial Pilsner, silver for its Moa St Josephs and Moa Breakfast, while bronze was won by Moa Blanc, Moa Pale Ale, Moa Five Hop and Weka Pear Cider.

Moa general manager Gareth Hughes said it felt great to have come away "with another big win".

"I’m really honoured to be counted amongst some genuine good bastards," he said.

“We’re especially proud of the two bronzes for the Blanc and Pale Ale as we were up against some tough competition from US craft juggernauts Rouges and Lagunitas."

It's the second year running the brewery has swept the floor at the awards.
