We asked 2012 grand finalist Ana Schwarz about her time on the show.

What was your biggest success on MasterChef?
Moving into the finals with Chelsea!

What your worst or most embarrassing moment on the show?
The takeaway challenge when I didn’t get time to finish one of my courses. Oh and all the times my benches were in such a state!

What did you learn from being on MasterChef?
Time management, confidence and believing in yourself…

If you had your time again, what would you do differently?

Who has inspired your passion for cooking?
All the great cooks out there… one especially is Karen Martini, what an amazing cook she is.

If you were having any three people, alive or dead, over for dinner, who would they be and what would you cook for them?
My best girlfriends Fran, Aleysha and Nicky! Barbecued crayfish with saffron butter, fresh oysters in their shell and finished with a beautiful bouillabaisse…

What’s your favourite dish to cook?
Gnocchi, melt in the mouth and so good on a warm winter's night with a meat ragout…

If you could visit any restaurant in the world, which one would it be?
El bulli… closed down now though.

Who was your favourite MasterChef contestant?
Charlene McGechan.

What’s your top tip for aspiring chefs?
Stay strong to your style! Cook with passion and good thought.

What's next for you?
Lots of exciting stuff… watch out for me.
