Skimping on luxurious ingredients doesn't mean you should eat like a pauper. It is possible to make budget food look like a million bucks.

  • First, you should take pride in what you're cooking.
  • Take your time to prepare your meat and vegetables — cut them up evenly.
  • While cooking, don't over-stir.
  • Grow a herb garden and always garnish.
  • Serve food in the middle of a large plate and don't over-fill plates with food. Let people come back for seconds if they wish.

Here are some great budget recipes:
    Glazed Thai chicken for $9.50
Fettucine with artichokes and tomatoes for $8.80
Couscous burgers with tahini mayonnaise for $6.80
    Mexi bean pasties for $9.50
Honey and mustard pork ribs for $10
Mixed vegetable and ricotta cannelloni for $10

I agree with the growing a herb garden but I also think it would be a great idea to encourage everyone to grow vegies as well. They can be growmn in containers and needn't take up much room. A great idea if you have children to feed.
