Liqueur coffee

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup (180ml) thickened cream
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar mixture
  • ½ cup (125ml) liqueur (such as Frangelico, Tia Maria, Kahlua, Grand Marnier, Cointreau)
  • 3 cups (750ml) prepared black coffee
  • grated or ground nutmeg
  • NOTE: The coffee is best made just before serving. You can prepare the coffee in a plunger, a traditional Italian stove-top moka, espresso machine or dripolater.

Liqueur coffee

  • Serving size: Serves 6
  • Cooking time: Less than 15 minutes
Method

Preheat the cups by filling them with boiling water. Beat cream and icing sugar in a small bowl with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.

Discard water and divide liqueur and coffee among serving cups.

Top the coffee with the cream and nutmeg, if desired.

Not suitable to freeze.
